As the black belt of scuba diving, there is no greater challenge for a recreational scuba diver than earning the PADI Master Scuba Diver rating. It also means you have completed and logged at least 50 open water dives.

Get started today on the Master Scuba Diver quest. . .

It starts with your basic certification course, but becoming a highly recognized diver with superior dive skills takes hard work and a great deal of experience. You will build upon the basic survival skills learned in your beginning scuba class by planning and executing five different kinds of dives in your Advanced Open Water course. Then it’s off to a specialty course where you will perfect your skills in deep diving, shipwreck diving, or one of the many other PADI Specialty courses. Your training culminates with one of the most challenging and rewarding course you will ever take, the Rescue Diver course. Here you will learn the art of self rescue and how to handle dive emergencies, both minor and major.
