Peak Performance Buoyancy

Excellent buoyancy control is what defines skilled scuba divers. You’ve seen them underwater. They glide effortlessly, use less air, and ascend, descend or hover almost as if by thought. They more easily observe aquatic life without disturbing their surroundings.

Learn to Master Your Buoyancy Skills

The PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy course assists divers in honing their buoyancy control skills beyond those learned in the Open Water Diver level. The goal of this course is to enhance buoyancy control abilities through knowledge development and skills practice.

What the Course Covers

In this class, you will be asked to complete the PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy eLearning course and perform two open water dives focused on improving buoyancy skills. During the two scuba dives you will learn how to:

  • Determine the exact weight you need, so you’re not too light or too heavy
  • Trim your weight system and scuba gear so you’re perfectly balanced in the water
  • Streamline to save energy, use air more efficiently and move smoothly through the water
  • Hover effortlessly in any position (vertical or horizontal)

Best of all, you can count your Peak Performance Buoyancy experience as an Adventure Dive and get credit toward your Advanced Open Water Diver certification. Sign up for the PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy class today.
