Terms and Conditions for Dive Travel
CANCELLATION POLICY: The following terms apply to all registered travelers wishing to cancel a trip after the initial deposit. A registered traveler (hereafter referred to as traveler) is defined as anyone who has paid an initial deposit for themselves and/or for another traveler, resulting in a reduction in the number of available spots for Aquatic Adventures, Inc. to sell. If the traveler cancels their trip after making a deposit, they will forfeit the initial deposit unless the booking agent can sell their space after all other available spots have been sold. If the traveler’s spot is resold, the deposit will be returned to the traveler less a 10% service charge. Should the traveler cancel their trip after making a deposit and any subsequent payments according to the payment schedule of the trip they booked, the deposit and subsequent payments will be forfeited unless the booking agent can resell the traveler’s spot. Any refunds will also be subject to a 10% service charge. Unused portions of a travel package are nonrefundable and nontransferable.
NOT INCLUDED: Dive gratuities, resort gratuities, local airport fees, incidental expenses, beverages unless indicated, enriched air, dive equipment, insurances, fuel surcharges, marine park fees, dive training, and any other charges or expenses that are not specifically identified as part of a travel package are not included.
PASSPORT REQUIREMENT: A valid passport is required for travel. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the planned return date. See https://travel.state.gov for additional information. For airport security requirements, see https://tsa.gov.
OCCUPANCY PRICING: The standard room price for all Aquatic Adventures, Inc. trips is based on double occupany. An additional charge is applied for single occupancy rooms. Aquatic Adventures, Inc. will make every effort to find a suitable roommate for anyone traveling alone. However, if we are unable to find a roommate, the single occupancy rate will be applied to the traveler's invoice. Travelers wishing to room alone should select the single occupancy add-on when booking their trip.
MEDICAL & TRAVEL INSURANCE: Every effort is made to ensure you have a safe trip. However, all travelers are strongly advised to purchase trip cancellation/interruption insurance in the event of unexpected changes in your travel plans. In addition, travelers should carry accident, baggage, evacuation, and medical coverage for scuba diving and non-scuba diving injuries and/or illnesses. Please note that not all travel insurance covers scuba diving and in-water activities. Read your policy carefully to ensure you have the coverage you will need for your trip. Aquatic Adventures recommends Dive Assure or Divers Alert Network dive insurance. Visit https://diveassure.com or https://dan.org for more information on obtaining travel insurance.
NOTE: Any evacuation and medical expenses are the diver's financial responsibility in a medical emergency.
AIRLINE TICKETS: Most airline tickets are NON-REFUNDABLE, non-transferable and involve restrictions and penalties. Also, airline tickets have NO CASH VALUE if not exchanged (with penalty) or cancelled PRIOR to your original date of travel. Be sure to reconfirm your flight times, and check the current baggage policy directly with your airline prior to travel.
CONDUCT: All travelers are expected to behave in a manner that is respectful and considerate of the norms and cultures of the communities that host our visits. Additionally, travelers should show respect towards their fellow travelers with Aquatic Adventures. Dive travel also requires a commitment to respecting the marine environment and adhering to safe diving practices. Aquatic Adventures reserves the right to expel any traveler from a trip who fails to respect the communities we visit, their fellow travelers, or does not follow safe diving practices or environmentally friendly diving.
DIVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Any traveler diving with Aquatic Adventures must be certified by an RSTC member certifying agency or enrolled at an additional expense in one of our training courses offered on your trip. Divers must have or rent current equipment that has been serviced properly and is in good working condition. In addition, divers should have recent dive experience or arrange, at their expense, for dive training or professional supervision to address any deficiencies in their skills or abilities. Aquatic Adventures supplies trip leaders who coordinate dives for the groups. However, they are not personal guides or supervisors for individuals. If you need a personal guide or require individual assistance, you can arrange that service at an additional cost with Aquatic Adventures before the trip. Divers who lack the ability to dive independently may be asked to stop diving with the group. No refunds will be made to anyone registering for diving who is physically or mentally unable to make the dives.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Aquatic Adventures, Inc. and/or suppliers of services pursuant to or in connection with the itineraries for your trip shall act only as agents of the tour members in making arrangements for hotels, transportation, restaurants, or any other service and do not assume any liability for monetary losses whatsoever or any injury, damage, death, loss, accident or delay to person or property due to an act of default of any hotel, company, restaurant, or person rendering any of the services included in the tour, or by an act of God. Further, Aquatic Adventures, Inc. does not assume any liability or monetary losses for any damages due to delay, sickness, pilferage, labor disputes, machinery breakdown, quarantine, government restraints, weather, or other causes beyond their control. When issued, no responsibility is accepted for any contract in use by the airlines concerned, which shall constitute the sole contract between the airlines and the purchaser of these tours and/or passengers. The payment for a reservation on the trip shall constitute consent to all provisions contained herein.
