In addition, you will be asked to demonstrate your mastery of scuba skills, rescue techniques, and swimming proficiency.

- Emergency First Response (or other CPR/First Aid training) within the last 24 months
- 18 years old or older
- 40 logged dives
- Medical clearance to participate in profession-level training
Course Structure
The PADI Divemaster program at Aquatic Adventures is designed so you can begin the course anytime. Before registering, we encourage you to obtain the RSTC Medical Form and have a medical doctor certify your fitness for the program. There are no refunds once you register for this course. Therefore, it is essential for you to honestly assess your physical fitness for the program and your dive skills before you begin.
Registration and Orientation
Our PADI Divemaster course begins with registering for the program. We will have you complete all liability paperwork and enroll in the Dive Master Skills Assessment. If you have not had your doctor sign the RSTC Medical Form, we will give you a form and ask you to complete it before scheduling your Divemaster Orientation.
Divemaster Orientation involves meeting with one of our training advisors, in this case a PADI instructor, who will guide you in starting the program. Your advisor will check the paperwork completed at registration and verify that your medical status has been approved. The advisor will review the required PADI Orientation presentation and set the date of your Water Skills Assessment. Optionally, you can also pay for your Divemaster Academics at this time. Please note that we cannot register you for any part of this course until you receive medical clearance.
Progress Seminars
To assist all candidates with making progress through the course while maintaining a spirit of community with other candidates and our staff, all active participants are asked to attend progress seminars bi-monthly. Progress seminars occur on the first Friday of February, April, June, August, October, and December at 6 p.m. This is a great time to register for the next module and help us set appropriate dates for upcoming sessions.
Five-Step Program
The PADI Divemaster course consists of five modules. Aquatic Adventures allows you to register for each of these modules separately. There is a slight financial benefit to paying for the full course in advance, but we encourage candidates to register for each module as they go.
The five modules include these courses that you enroll in as you complete earlier portions of the program:
- Academic Training
- Water Skills Assessment
- Divemaster Practical Skills
- Divemaster Conducted Programs Workshops
- Practical Assessments
