Beyond Master Scuba Diver
If you have earned your PADI Master Scuba Diver rating and you thought "that's all there is", well think again. In the PADI Beyond Master Scuba Diver program, you earn up to four additional levels of Master Scuba Diver. Know No Limits
Once upon a time there were PADI Master Scuba Divers. They were the elite divers of their age. They earned their Open Water Diver certification, moved on to Advanced Open Water Diver and Rescue Diver, and completed 5 PADI specialty courses. They were highly trained divers, the black belt divers of their day.
But today there are PADI divers who have risen above merely reaching the PADI Master Scuba Diver level. These extremely special, highly trained and experienced divers have achieved levels Beyond Master Scuba Diver to distinguish themselves in ways few others ever have.
Are you up to the challenge? If you are willing to work hard and set the highest goals as a diver, then you could earn a Master Scuba Diver Star rating.
What it takes to earn a PADI Stars
As a PADI Master Scuba Diver, you are recognized for having earned all of the core certifications in the PADI curriculum, completed 5 PADI specialty courses and logged 50 dives. Once you have completed the basic Master Scuba Diver rating, you are eligible to earn one of four "Star" ratings.
- Two Star Master Scuba Diver: Complete 10 PADI Specialties with 25 additional open water dives (75 minimum).
- Three Star Master Scuba Diver: Complete 15 PADI Specialties with 25 additional open water dives (100 minimum).
- Four Star Master Scuba Diver: Complete 20 PADI Specialties with 25 additional open water dives (125 minimum).
- Five Star Master Scuba Diver Tech Diver: Complete 20 PADI Specialties, Tec 40, Tec 45 and Tec 50 with 25 additional open water dives (150 minimum).

Once you have completed all of the courses and dives noted above, it’s time to apply for a Master Scuba Diver "Star" rating and earn your "Beyond Master Scuba Diver" badge.
