You will learn self-rescue skills, problem-solving, how to recognize problems before they become emergencies, and how to manage dive emergencies both minor and major.
The PADI Rescue Diver course consists of both academic and practical application training. Through knowledge development and rescue exercises, you will learn what to look for and how to respond when problems arise on a dive. During rescue scenarios, you put into practice your knowledge and skills.

The PADI Rescue Diver course consists of an eLearning component which you will perform at home prior to class. During this training, you will review common rescue practices and watch videos where rescue techniques are demonstrated. Next, you will attend a short classroom session at Aquatic Adventures where you will be given a quick quiz to validate your eLearning. Finally, you will attend at least two in water training sessions. During these sessions, you will practice rescue techniques and perform practical application scenarios where you will manage diver rescues.
Rescue exercises and the practical application scenarios must be conducted over a minimum of two days. This is typically done over a single weekend where you will attend either one pool and one open water session or two open water sessions.
