Located in the southern part of the Baja Peninsula, about 100 miles north of Cabo San Lucas, La Paz is the capital of the State of Baja California Sur. It is known for its friendly cosmopolitan community, tourism, and a warm and dry climate. When diving in the Bay of La Paz, divers may encounter whale sharks, hammerhead sharks, sea lions, manta rays, several species of whales, and many other local and migratory species. 

La Paz diving is calm, scenic, and focused on wildlife. Most dive sites are 30 to 60 minutes by boat. The Bay of La Paz is protected, so conditions are usually mild.

La Paz is home to one of the best sea-lion colonies in the world. The sea lions are playful, curious, and used to divers. Whale sharks are usually seen in the bay between October and April. Snorkeling encounters are more common than diving because of local regulations. Giant manta rays are regularly seen offshore, with peak season in summer and fall.

Water temperatures range from 65-70°F in winter to 78-86°F in late summer and fall. Currents are usually mild in the bay and stronger offshore.

Prices do not include scuba training, additional food or beverages, or any other costs not specifically listed in the trip package.
