Aquatic Adventures Dives With Cbs58
Jerry Otte Feb 24, 2021
Aquatic Adventures had a blast this Wednesday, February 24! We jumped into Cudahy Middle School's pool and taught CBS58's, Michael Schlesinger, how to do some basic scuba skills. He learned the number one rule of scuba - never ever hold your breath - as well as how to clear his regulator and mask. We had fun tossing around the underwater frisbee and practicing our swimming as well as our buoyancy. Michael did a stellar job discussing our Beginning Scuba classes.
Our Beginning Scuba class starts with a knowledge development portion, which involves 10 to 15 hours of homework. Not to worry, all of the ELearning is written for 10-year-olds. The second part of our class is over the course of 2 days. We practice all of our 24 scuba skills in "confined water" - aka the pool. The third and final part of our Open Water Scuba Diver class is to go to Open Water. We go out to a local lake and do 4 dives over the course of 2 days.
When you have completed the whole class you can call yourself a PADI certified Open Water Diver - with a certification that is good for the rest of your life! If you think diving is for you, sign up for a class today! We run at least one Beginning Scuba class every month all year long, but classes fill up fast. Reserve your spot today.
Thank you to CBS58, Michael Schlesinger, and the camera crew who worked to make a fantastic segment about our dive center and diving! If you would like to see their full story you can find it on their website under Aquatic Adventures takes you to great depths to discover a new hobby.
Happy Diving!
