We Cancelled The Dive Picnic - See You Next Year

Hello,

Usually, this is the time of year that we are sending our last push to get you to sign up for our picnic, watching the weather, hoping for a perfect sunny day, collecting the last of prizes, and double-checking our lists so that we can have the best picnic ever. This year is very different since we have decided to cancel this event for the first time. It would have been the 21st Annual Treasure Dive and Picnic!!

We never thought we would miss the busyness that we have here at the store right before the picnic, but most importantly, I realized that I would not get a chance to see you. The picnic is one of the few days of the year that I get to be just a diver who catches up with their dive buddies to see how life is going, where they are diving next, and what new diving thing they ”need” to make the next dive perfect. I also use that time to make sure you get to know the staff that make the store work and that the staff gets to know the people who make the store possible.

It was not easy to make this decision, but with the state of the world, I feel like we have lived through a few years, not months. We hope that you all see this as our way of making a small sacrifice, so we are all able to attend this and may other events next year. And remember, do not stop diving just because you might not be able to travel to your favorite dive site; it is the perfect time to find a new favorite dive site in your backyard.

As always, we thank you for your support of Aquatic Adventures, Inc., the employees, and our mission to enrich your lives through scuba diving and snorkeling. During times like this, we have learned that no one is an island, and community is what makes everything possible – even if we have to be distant from each other.
